19th century opal and diamond pendant that can be worn as a brooch
$0.00
Here is a magnificent 19th century opal and diamond pendant that can be worn as a brooch that not only looks stunning but is also in incredible condition after more than 150 years have passed since being made.
Made in 15 carat gold, the circular section is centrally set with an opal and surrounded by ten rose cut diamonds, with a further border of blue enamel balls. And then there is the surrounding gold border around this section which is truly spectacular to admire and also has not only the brooch fitting on the back but a section to place a photo. Measuring 40mm in diameter it then has two very elegant chains draping across leading to a very large tassel this sways and moves so elegantly. The size of this tassel is incredible and like the rest of the piece is still in superb condition. From the top to the bottom of the tassel, this distance measures 90mm making this piece destined to stand out regardless of it being worn as a brooch or a pendant.
Dating from the 1860’s this is a truly exquisite piece of mid-Victorian jewellery.
