Burmese rubies have for centuries rightly so been regarded as the source of the finest quality rubies in the world and here is a very beautiful Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring.
 Made in 18ct yellow gold, the ruby measures 2.01 carats in size and has such a fine red colour that is most desired.
 So many rubies on the market today are being glass or lead filled where a very poor quality ruby will be infused with lead to alter the colour to a bright red colour, however these are very cheap and not stable so it is always much better to steer well clear of lead filled rubies and needless to say none of the rubies that we ever sell are lead filled.
 Surrounding the ruby are 12 round brilliant cut diamonds that total 0.36 carats and are G/Vs-si in colour and clarity.
 From left to right the ring measures 10.7mm across by 12.4mm and sits so well and would make a wonderful engagement ring. Â
 From all angles this is such an attractive and elegant example of a ruby and diamond cluster ring.
