Most commonly found and known for the rich burgundy colour, garnets actually come in a range of colour including this colour variety of garnet, the almandine garnet which has a delightful purple hue in the garnet as can be seen here in this fantastic antique garnet bangle.

Hand made in the early 1900's, this antique bangle is made in 9ct gold and set with 9 garnets that graduate in size up to the largest one in the centre.

At its widest part at the centre garnet, it measures 11.4mm wide and tapers down the back to 4.6mm wide.

Being hinged allows this antique bangle to sit nice and close to the wrist and is fitted with a safety chain for added security.

It is the magnificent colour of these almandine garnets and how well matched they all are as well as this very simple yet elegant design that really makes this such a fantastic antique garnet bangle that looks and sits so well on the wrist.
