The Albertina - also known as a Leontine - was originally designed not as a bracelet but to hold a ladies pocket watch at one end and secure the tee bar onto an outfit, however today they are quite often worn as a bracelet and here is a very beautiful 9ct rose gold Albertina that dates from the 1890's and will look divine no matter where or how it is worn.
Made with a double chain design, in the centre sits a gorgeous cube that has been exquisitely hand engraved and is connected by the two finials on each side that add that additional charm and character to the piece. On one end is a swivel clip that can attach to the round jump ring near the tee bar when worn as a bracelet, and the other end has the fabulous twisted tee bar and heart.
Measuring 23cm from end to end, it also measures 19cm as a bracelet and another way to wear it is to attach a chain on each end to make it a necklace or connected to another Albertina making a spectacular necklace.
This Albertina can be so versatile and is just so attractive to be admired no matter how it is worn.
