Antique amethyst and pearl pendant that converts to a brooch
$0.00
Here is a very ingenious and versatile piece of jewellery that can be worn as a pendant, then easily converted to be worn as a brooch.
Made in the late Victorian era of the 1890’s, it was made in 15 carat gold and the gold itself has that wonderful warm rose tone to it that looks so beautiful and is accentuated by the amethysts.
The design of the main section measures 31mm in diameter, and the detachable pearl set bail measured 12.7mm in length and when worn as either a brooch or a pendant, there is no doubt that it will look amazing on any outfit.
The bail at the top comes of easily by sliding it along the long bar so when it is worn as a brooch it will sit nice and close to the outfit without this bail part being in the way.
The combination of pearls and amethysts works perfectly and even after 130 years has passed since it was made, it still looks absolutely incredible.
