Dating from the Victorian era of the 1870’s, each earring is set with two amethysts amongst the most elegant design typical of this era. Made in 15ct gold, each earring measures 56mm from the bottom to the very top of the shepherd hook, or 45mm from the bottom of the earring to the top where the hooks join. At the centre of the lower drop, the distance across measures 15.2mm wide making these earrings really stand out.
The colour of the gold is a lovely soft rose colour with a hint of yellow, and combined with the purple of the amethysts, combine beautifully to create a very elegant pair of antique earrings.
In wonderful condition, these antique amethyst earrings are destined to always be admired and loved.
