Antique aquamarine and pearl necklace by Drummond & Co

Here is a lovely antique aquamarine and pearl necklace that was made by the early Australian jewellery company Drummond & Co in the 1920’s.

Hand made in 15 carat gold, the colour of 15 carat gold has a lovely warm colour that looks so beautiful on the neck, and compliments the aquamarines that are highlighted with the pearls so well.

With the focus being drawn to the centre where the first aquamarine sits, the lovely elegant border of pearls adds so much charm as does the drop at the bottom with four more pearl and an elegant pear cut aquamarine.

With the main section measuring 4.9cm in length, from end to end the necklace measures 42cm in length making this sit so perfectly around the neck where it will be perfect to wear day or night as well as for any occasion.

This is such an elegant and charming necklace that still looks so beautiful 100 years after being made.
