Antique cameo earrings from the 1860’s.

Here are one of the finest pair of antique cameo earrings around and ones that are still in incredible condition even after more than 150 years.

Made in 18ct yellow gold in the 1860, each earring is made all the more special by having not just one but two hand carved cameos of a ladies head in profile, but there is also the free moving section at the bottom.

Today it is possible to carve cameos by machine, however all these years ago cameos were expertly and painstakingly carved by hand and each of these four cameos are just so well defined.

Surrounding each cameo is the most incredible Etruscan work that itself is so stunning and the rich colour of the yellow gold really makes these earrings stand out even more.

From the very bottom to the top, this distance measures 45.1mm and the lower cameo section measures 14.5mm wide.

Fitted on very long and secure shepherd hooks, these antique cameo earrings are nothing short of spectacular.
