Dating from the 1880's, this antique coral and pearl ring from the Victorian era is set with such lovely coral that is light pink in colour and was often called "Angel skin" coral that matches so well with the beautiful white of the pearls and gorgeous colour of the gold.
Today so much coral is sponge coral which is cut to imitate this shape and dyed a strong red or pink so it is wonderful to get the natural pink colour.
Made in 15ct gold which has such a lovely warm rose colour to it, the design of the ring is wonderful including the work on the side which was typical of jewellery made in the 1880's.
Sitting so well on the finger, the top of the ring measures 17.5mm across by 8mm wide making it so comfortable to wear.
The design of this ring, combined with the lovely coral and pearls all come together in creating a wonderful antique ring that is so unique and special.
