Here is such an elegant antique pendant from the Edwardian period that is not only charming with its delightful heart design, but is also set with the very rare green demantoid garnets.
Garnets are commonly known and seen in a rich burgundy red colour, however they come in a range of other colours such as orange, pink and of course as can be seen here green.
There is the lighter coloured tsavorite garnets which are lovely as well, however none are as rare as these demantoid garnets.
In total there are 36 demantoid garnets and combine this with the 15ct rose gold which has a lovely soft warm colour to it which with the garnets goes so well with the 41 natural seed pearls and you end up with a truly marvelous and very elegant pendant.
The pendant itself measures 17.3mm from left to right by 19.1mm or 24.8mm to the top of the bail where the chain goes through and is such a comfortable and easy size to wear all the time.
The Edwardian period of the early 1900's created some truly elegant pieces of jewellery and this heart shaped pendant is certainly one of them.
