Made around the turn of the 20th Century, Donovan and Overland were one of if not the leading jewellers in Perth from 1897 until the Great Depression forced them to close their doors in 1931. Not only is this ring beautifully hand made in 18ct yellow gold, it is also in exceptional condition, which is a testament to the quality of jewellery that they were making.

Set in the centre is a magnificent European cut diamond that measures 1.41 carats and is H in colour and Si in clarity and has such a magnificent sparkle to it combined with the charm of being a genuine antique hand cut diamond. Surrounding this diamond are a further ten European cut diamonds with a total weight of 1.00 carat bringing the total weight for this ring to an impressive 2.41 carats.
Measuring 13.1mm in diameter, this antique diamond ring has such wonderful proportions and sits so well on the finger and will no doubt be admired for its elegance and beauty.

A brief history on the jewellery firm of Donovan and Overland.
Donovan and Overland were jewellers who set up their business in Perth in 1897 in William Street. Until 1915 they moved premises a number of times until finally settling on a workshop in Oatley Place. Donovan and Overland supplied jewellery to many of the retail jewellers in Perth where they made a name for themselves as one of the leading jewellers in Perth. Their reputation of high quality jewellery has now been further appreciated Australia wide and has become highly collectable. Donovan and Overland used a key as they hallmark and they continued to make high end jewellery right up until their close in 1931 due to the Great Depression.
