Diamond antique engagement rings always have such a special and unique charm about them making each one individual and known to the wearer that no one else will ever have one exactly the same.
From the wonderful hand cut diamonds, to the ring itself being hand made with such detail as opposed to the more common method today of cast making hundreds if not thousands of the same ring over and over again, these are just some of the things that make an antique diamond engagement ring so beautiful and alluring.
And here is a very beautiful and elegant antique diamond engagement ring dating from the late Victorian era of the 1890's.
Entirely hand made in 18ct yellow gold, with a handmade ring you not only get so much more strength that cast made rings, you also get so much finer detail in the ring itself as can be seen on the side of this engagement ring.
The five European cut diamonds graduate in size leading up to the centre diamond which weighs 0.26 carats, then the next two diamonds are 0.14 carats each then 0.07 carats each which gives the ring a total diamond weight of 0.68 carats.
At the centre the ring measures 4.6mm wide and from one end diamond across to the other, this distance measures 15.8mm.
This is such a charming antique engagement ring that is so full of character and detail and one that will always be treasured.
