Here is a very attractive antique diamond gypsy ring that was made in the late Victorian era in 1896.
A gypsy ring is one that has the stones - in this case diamonds - set into the band often with a star pattern around the diamond which really gives the ring such an attractive look to it.
Another characteristic is that gypsy rings are often domes and tapers down along the band resulting in a ring that is very easy to wear all the time as well as being in a style and design that allows it to be worn with both modern and other antique jewellery and always be able to blend right in.
This antique diamond gypsy ring is made in 18ct yellow gold and is hallmarked for being made in Chester in 1896.
Set with 3 diamonds that totals 0.07 carats, they add a elegant amount of sparkle without being over the top and the ring measures 6.4mm wide at the top and tapers to 3.2mm at the back.
On each side the ring has delightful hand engraving just to finish the ring off nicely and adds that extra bit of charm and character.
This is such an attractive and elegant example of an antique diamond gypsy ring that is so easy to wear all the time day or night.
