Antique diamond snake ring made in 1890 set with mine cut diamonds.

$0.00

The snake design in jewellery goes as far back as Roman times and was popularised during the Victorian era when Prince Albert presented Queen Victoria and engagement ring designed as snake set with rubies, emeralds and diamonds, and here is a lovely antique diamond snake ring made in 1890 set with mine cut diamonds.

Made in 18 carat yellow gold, the high polish finish to the ring will allow this ring to easily be worn with other antique jewellery as well as modern contemporary jewellery and fit right in.

Measuring 10.2mm wide at the centre, it tapers down to 4.2mm wide at the back and sits so comfortably on the finger.

Each head of the snake is set with a genuine antique mine cut diamond which was the predecessor to the European cut diamond, and these two diamonds total 0.20 carats in weight and add the right amount of sparkle to the ring.

With a design that is steeped in history, this Victorian era antique snake ring is so beautiful and will always be a wonderful conversation starter.
