Antique double drop earrings set with mine cut diamonds

These earrings are just divine! Hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum in the early 1920’s, each earring is set with two mine cut diamonds that sparkle magnificently.
Mine cut diamonds were first cut at the start of the 18th century and were the first diamond shape to have 58 facets. Often called cushion cut diamonds due to their somewhat cushion shape, mine cut diamonds and the later European cut diamond have both become so popular and sought after today.
The two smaller diamonds at the top total 0.42 carats and the two lower larger diamonds total 1.24 carats and capture the light so beautifully thanks to the claw setting as well as the scalloped platinum setting below each diamond.
Measuring 14.4mm from the bottom to the top diamond or 17.8mm to the top of the hook by 7.1mm wide at the lower diamond, each earring is fitted on secure lever back fittings.
These earrings have not only so much sparkle, but also so much elegance thanks to their design and wonderful mine cut diamonds and will certainly capture the eyes and heart of all who see them.
