The elegance of the Edwardian era can be seen here in this very lovely antique Edwardian era garnet, aquamarine and pearl pendant dating from the early 1900's.
Made in 9ct rose gold, the colour of the gold has that wonderful warm colour that is so desirable today. Without that very harsh coppery colour seen in a lot of modern rose gold, the colour of gold in this pendant is just wonderful to admire, especially against the skin.
In the centre is a lovely garnet set among that incredible design which is simply captivating. The concentric design is just so lovely and not only is there the garnet in the centre, but there are also four aquamarines and eight pearls.
It is this wonderful combination of rose gold with the different gemstones and of course the incredible design of the pendant itself, that all come together to make this a truly unique and special pendant.
Measuring 32mm in diameter, no matter the time of day or night that this antique pendant is being worn, there is little doubt that it will always be loved, cherished and admired.

Edwardian jewellery of the early 1900's embraced the past Victorian era as well as a new style. Entering the 20th century after Queen Victoria's death, the new era also heralded a style and design of jewellery. Co-existing with the belle epoch and Art Nouveau era, Edwardian jewellery is often light and airy and easy to wear during the day as much as the night.
The Edwardian era only lasted until 1910, but the jewellery that was created has lasted a lifetime.
