Made in a 14ct gold case, it combines a mainly rose gold case with yellow, white and even green gold to highlight its delightful scenes on both sides.
While the other colours of gold are common topday, green gold is no longer used and was used be jewellers and case makers alike up until the late 1890's.
The floral basket on the back is so attractive with the use of the different colours of gold, and the case alone will always be admired on.
Inside the white enamel dial displays the traditional balck Roman numerals with sub-seconds, and the condition of the dial is still in excellent condition.
The case measures 40mm (to 58mm with the bow up) and all hte hinges are in fantastic condition.
Made in 1888 the 13 jewelled movement runs perfect and is a lever set, meaning the time is adjusted by pulling up the lever near the 5 o'clock position.
The condition of this pocket watch that is well over 120 years old, and still running perfect is just wonderful, and the case of this pocket watch is simply superb.
