Often seen in Victorian jewellery, the buckle represented a binding love between the giver and wearer of the piece of jewellery, and here is a lovely antique bangle designed with seed pearls and a border of blue enamel all in the form of a bangle.
Made in 9 carat gold in the 1880's, the bangle measures 26.1mm wide at the centre buckle section with the rest of the bangle measuring 19.4mm wide. Being hinged allows for the bangle to sit nice and close to the wrist and is also so incredibly comfortable to wear and will look amazing no matter where or when it is worn.
The natural seed pearls on the front stand out so beautifully set against the rich tone of the gold and the cobalt blue enamel accentuates not only the pearls, but the buckle design as well.
140 years after being made, this antique bangle will still get the admiration that it rightly deserves every single time that it is worn.
