This is truly the most magnificent antique locket that we have ever had, and one that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Not only is this a locket, it is also a spectacular pendant of unparallelled beauty with the enamel design in the centre and the sparkle from all of the diamonds.
Hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum, this antique piece dates from around 1905 and is so beautiful and elegant and typical of an era gone by.
The centre blue enamel is in a technique called guilloché enamelling, where a pattern is carved into the metal and then the enamel fired over the top leaving a wonderful pattern to admire.
To further add to the beauty and charm of this pendant, it is set with a total of 115 diamonds, with a further diamond on the chain.
There are 114 rose cut diamonds and one old European cut diamond in the centre and another old European cut diamond connected to the chain, and the total weight is 0.93 carats.
Turning the piece over reveals a delightful locket compartment able to house two photos, making this an antique locket like no other.
Measuring 26.5mm across, and fitted all on a platinum chain, this is truly one of the most spectacular pieces of antique jewellery that one can find.
