The Victorian era often made jewellery that was so romantic and had so much sentiment attached to it, and Victorian Regard rings are certainly no exception to this.
Here we have a very enchanting antique Victorian era Regard ring that was made in Birmingham in 1871 with the word "Regard" designed in coloured enamel.
More commonly Regard ring will have the first letter of each gemstone spelling out the word regard such as ruby, emerald, garnet, amethyst, ruby and a diamond, yet here the word "regard" has been engraved into an 18ct yellow gold band.
As the band is plain, this allows this Victorian Regard ring to be worn along side other antique rings or modern rings and blend right it, or even on its own and always look fantastic.
Regard rings were often given to loved ones and they have such a wonderful romantic feel about them and genuine antique regard rings are becoming so hard to come by today.
The band itself tapers in width from 4.5mm at the top down to 2.8mm wide at the end and sits so nice and flat on the finger.
The colours in the enamel are blue, white and red which all match so well with the 18ct yellow gold of the ring itself.
There is such a romantic history associated with the Victorian era and being able to wear a genuine Victorian Regard ring on the finger is so special and this one is so unique as the word "Regard" is spelled out in enamel as opposed to gemstones.
