Here is a magnificent antique French clock that looks sensational.
Made in the portico style of having 4 columns, the colour of the marble is beautiful.
Highlighted with the gilded finishes on the top of the dial, the tops of each column, and the wonderful pendulum in the form of a hanging basket, this antique portico clock will always be admired.
The clock dial is all original and so finely hand painted with the floral design.
The movement was made by the French company Japy Freres around 1880, and is a 8 day time and strike movement, that has been fully serviced and runs great.
The clock measures 56cm (h) by 34cm (w) by 16cm (d) and has a wonderful chime.
Portico clocks are always popular and more common in timber cases, and to get one as elegant and beautiful as this is a real find.
