Made in the Victorian era of the 1870’s, the bangle is made of 15ct yellow gold and set with 9 garnets and 4 pearls.
Like so much antique jewellery of this era, it is not simply about setting the gemstones into the bangle, rather it is the fine intricate detail that goes along with it that makes it so sensational.
Surrounding the garnets and pearls which are set into a delightful floral design is the most wonderful and attractive design again styled on flowers.
Under the bangle is a locket to allow a photo or lock of hair and is so romantic and typical of antique pieces of the Victorian time.
Being a hinged bangle allows it to sit so close to the wrist and not move around and really stands out day or night.
At its widest part the bangle measures 25.8mm wide and at the rear measures 10.1mm.
Not only is the top of the bangle so attractive but on each side is the most amazing and intricate hand engraving which shows how much attention went into making fine quality antique pieces of a time gone by.
