Here is a superb Regard ring from the Georgian era, and dating from around the early 1800's.
Regard is "spelt" out in this ring by the first letter of each gemtstone, spelling out the word. Here we have a Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby and a Diamond.
This particular Regard ring is unlike any that we have had before, in that is also has a locket compartment in the front.
Made in 15ct rose gold, the colour of the gold has achieved such a wonderful patina, and the scroll work on the sides is just delightful.
Georgian regard rings are becoming quite hard to find, and to find one as unique as this is a real treasure and one for any loverof high quality antique jewellery.
