Antique gold locket set with a pearl and made in 1908

There is nothing more personal than a locket with photos of loved ones inside, and here is a very sweet and charming antique double sided photo locket that was made in Birmingham in 1908.

Made in 9 carat gold, the oval locket measures 15.6mm across by 23.8mm plus the link for a chain to go through at the top and can hold two photos inside.

The gold has such a lovely warm rose tone to it that is highlighted by the addition of a pearl in the centre set into a very elegant star design.

With a smooth and very tactile feel to the touch, this antique locket is as beautiful today as when it was made during the Edwardian period.
