Antique guilloché enamel and pearl pendant with a locket on the back

$0.00

Here is an absolutely divine antique guilloché enamel and pearl pendant with a locket on the back that was made in the early 1900’s that looks amazing thanks to the vibrant red enamel.

To begin with, this enamelling was created using a special technique resulting in what is called guilloché enamel. This is one of the most popular of all the enamel techniques and it is so easy to see why. Produced by a very precise and repetitive pattern that is engraved into an underlying material such as gold or silver, it then has the enamel applied over the top and after the firing process is complete, it is polished back to a high lustre revealing the engraved pattern below the surface. The red is so vibrant on this piece and will certainly stand out no matter where or when it was worn.

With a very elegant surround set with forty seven pearls, there is a cluster of nine more pearls in the centre to add to the charm and character of the piece.

Then turning it over reveals a section for a photo of a loved one that will then make this pendant even more personal and special.

Made in 9 carat rose gold, it measures 33.4mm across by 42.4mm or 47.2mm to the very top of the bail for the chain to pass through.

Simply perfect for any occasion, this is a wonderful antique pendant and locket that is like no other.
