Here is a very beautiful and elegant antique heart shaped pendant set with a tourmaline and rose cut diamonds that will always be loved and cherished and continually admired.
Hand made in the Victorian period of the 1880's, this pendant was made in 15ct gold and sterling silver. Silver was used as like today, it was known that if you set diamonds in yellow, this could reflect into the diamonds. Today white gold, platinum or rhodium plating is often used , however before the 1900's white gold and rhodium plating was not yet invented, and platinum, although already discovered, was not used in jewellery making.
The tourmaline in the centre has such a beautiful pink-red colour to it, and measures 0.28 carats. Surrounded by a total of twenty three rose cut diamonds, these diamonds total 0.18 carats and have all the charm and character of being genuine antique cut diamonds.
Measuring 13.2mm across by 13.5mm or 20mm to the top of the bail, this antique pendant is one that will always look good day or night and is destined to be admired every time that it is worn.
