Antique L. Marchand 18 carat gold pocket watch made in the 1860's

This very stylish antique pocket watch was made by L. Marchand in the 1860's and has just come back from a full service and runs beautifully even after being made 160 years ago.

Made in an 18 carat gold case that measures 45mm across by 62.4mm to the top of the bow, the back of the case has been so beautifully hand engraved and has such a wonderful tactile feel to it. The hours alone needed to engrave the case would have been immense and then the dial itself is just as beautiful to admire.

With a lovely design that is complimented by the Roman numerals and Breguet style hands, this all comes together to make it still so easy to read.

The 8 jewelled Lepine cylinder escapement movement is beautiful to admire and a real testament to the watchmakers of the time. Signed "L. Marchand Geneva" as mentioned it has been fully serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty.

As beautiful today as the day it was made, this antique pocket will look and feel so smooth in the palm of your hand.
