Here is an incredible antique opal and diamond ring that dates from the late 19th Century and has such a beautiful opal and such incredible incredible detail and work.
Made in the 1890’s in 18ct yellow gold, this ring is set with a very vibrant solid Australian opal that measures 4.20 carats. The spectral colours from this opal is just wonderful and shows why Australian opals are regarded as the best in the world. From blues and greens all the way to flashes of red, this opal is just so beautiful.
Set on each side are three lovely old cut diamonds that add a wonderful amount of sparkle to the ring and highlight the opal so well. These diamonds total 1.42 carats and lead to the band with lovely detail on the sides that has been so expertly hand carved.
The ring measures 20.2mm from left to right by 13mm and really makes such a statement on the finger and is sure to be admired every time that it is worn.
The quality of the opal is matched so well with the diamonds and quality of craftsmanship and will be a joy to own and wear.
