Made in the Edwardian era, this ring was hand made in 18 carat yellow gold in a lovely lozenge shape that not only sits so well on the finger, but also accentuates it so beautifully.
Measuring 7.8mm wide by 17.7mm in the centre is a beautiful solid white opal that measures 0.40 carats and has a blue-white body colour with lovely flashes of red.
Surrounded by a twenty two European cut diamonds and an additional European cut diamond on the top and bottom of the opal, these diamonds come together to total 0.38 carats and sparkle so beautifully.
Set on a sleek and smooth band, this is such an attractive example of an antique opal and diamond ring that looks as beautiful today as when it was made all those years ago.

Edwardian era antique opal and diamond ring made in 1903. This ring was hand made in 18 carat yellow gold and set with a solid Australian opal. Not only regarded as the home to the worlds best opals, but Australia is also produces more opals than anywhere in the world, at around 90%. From the solid black opals of Lightning Ridge, the white opals from Coober Pedy, there is also the lovely boulder opals and opal doublets and triplets.
This antique opal and diamond ring is set with a solid white opal and surrounded by antique European cut diamonds in a very elegant lozenge shape.
