Dating from the early 1900's, this ring was hand made in 18ct yellow gold and platinum and set with a solid Australian opal that shows great flashes of all the colours.
Australia has long been regarded as the home of the finest opals in the world, and this is a solid white opal from Coober Pedy and set on each side is a lovely rose cut diamond.
Rose cut diamonds are one of the earliest forms for cutting diamonds and have a flat base with a pyramid-like top and these diamonds total 0.16 carats.
From left to right, the ring measures 15.6mm across by 8.7mm wide at the centre and will suit any finger that it is worn on.
