Made in the late Victorian period of the 1890's, this antique locket in sterling silver is not only so attractive to admire from near or far, but also has a wonderful sentiment attached.
Measuring 25.3mm across by 30.7mm or 43.2mm to the top of the bail, the design on the front is of a buckle which is a traditional design often seen in Victorian jewellery and represented a binding love, and then it is further highlighted with an ivy, that represented ever lasting love, friendship or marriage.
Then all of this is further highlighted with the exquisite hand engraving that shows how much care and attention went into making this locket all those years ago.
Able to easily hold two photos inside, this is not only a beautiful example of a genuine antique locket, but one with so much charm and sentiment attached.
