Here we have a very elegant and easy to ear antique ring that is well over 120 years old, still in great condition and looks so good on the finger.
Made in 18ct yellow gold in Birmingham 1891 by the jewellery firm Constantine and Floyd Ltd, the ring is set with a diamond in the centre and three pearls on each side.
Typical of this era, the 0.03 carat European cut diamond has been set into a setting called "gypsy setting" where the diamond is set into the gold with the beads holding the diamonds and in turn also creating that wonderful star pattern around it.
Even the way the three pearls on each side are set combined with the separation between the diamonds and the pearls adds so much more charm that makes antique rings so much more charming and unique than so many modern rings.
At the centre the ring measures 5.8mm wide and from the end of one pearl across the other side to the end of the other, this distance measures 16.4mm across.
Sitting elegantly and flat on the finger makes this such a practical and easy antique ring to wear all the time and is a wonderful example of a late Victorian era ring that still looks beautiful to this day.
