Made in 15ct gold, this carat of gold was used up until 1931 and has such a lovely rich colour to it and is complimented by the seed pearls and sapphire.
Starting with the seed pearls, there are fifty six seed pearls in three rows and amazingly the middle row of pearls so elegantly alternates between a larger one and a smaller one which is a real testament to the quality of craftsmanship that went into making this locket all those years ago.
And then there is the pear cut sapphire which sits elegantly in the centre and measures 0.55 carats in weight and really stands out so well surrounded by the pearls.
Made in a romantic heart shape which measures 14.8mm across, by 16.8mm or 25mm to the top of the bail for the chain to slide through, this has the perfect proportions to be worn all the time day or night and always look so elegant.
With the ability to hold a photo of a loved one inside making this even more personal, this is one of the most elegant and romantic examples of an antique locket around, and one that will always be loved, treasured and admired.
