Antique peridot and pearl pendant that converts to a brooch

Here is an ingenious antique peridot and pearl pendant that converts to a brooch so easily and no matter which way it is worn, will always be loved for the gorgeous colour combination of the pearls and peridots as well as the elegant design.
Dating from the late Victorian era of the 1890's, it was made in 15ct rose gold which has achieved such a wonderful patina to it that enhanced it even more.
Set with eighty seed pearls that graduate in size, it shows just how much time and attention to detail was spent in making this piece and then there are the two beautiful peridots set into the centre and swaying elegantly from the bottom.
The colour from the peridot is just delightful and really matches so well with the pearls and the rose gold.
Turing the pendant over shows a brooch fitting and when worn as a brooch, to allow it to sit flat on an outfit, the top bail section where the chain runs through, is easily removed. It is such a small feature that really goes a long way in again showing how well thought out this piece was made over 120 year ago.
Measuring quite a large 32.9mm wide at the centre, it measures 62mm from the bottom to the top of the bail when worn as a pendant or 51mm when worn as a brooch with the pendant fitting removed.
This wonderful Victorian era pendant cum brooch is just so attractive and will always be admired no matter in which form it is worn.
