Antique peridot & pearl brooch/pendant in its original box
$0.00
Here is a truly magnificent and incredibly elegant example of an Edwardian era peridot and pearl pendant that converts into a brooch and is made so ingeniously and of such a high quality.
Made by the jewellery firm C.F Gowland in the early 1900’s, the design alone of this antique pendant is so wonderful to look at and looks amazing on the neckline.
Made in 9ct gold, it is set with a total of 52 seed pearls as well as the peridot in the centre.
Like many antique pieces it is not just the amount of pearls, but the finer detail of them in the way that they all graduate in size so elegantly.
Making this antique pendant even more versatile it can easily be worn as a brooch.
The way that this pendant converts to a brooch is just superb. Like many antique pendants from the Victorian and Edwardian era’s that convert to a brooch, the top bail can be completely removed.
However it is also the wonderful feature that when it is worn as a pendant, the brooch fitting is completely removable as the clasp for the brooch folds down very neatly.
From left to right the pendant measures 29.3mm wide at its widest part by 39mm from top to bottom including the detachable bail or 32.3mm without.
Completing this piece is its original fitted box with the makers name of C.F Gowland on the inside.
From all aspects, this is such a fine quality antique pendant that looks amazing on and is so easy to wear in so many different ways.
