Antique Regard ring from the 1890's.

A Regard ring is a wonderful design that was especially popular during the Victorian era and is a form of acrostic jewellery where the first letter of each gemstone spells out a word such as the very sought after and very hard to find Regard ring such as this one here.

In this particular Regard ring, the word Regard is "spelt" out by a Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby and a Diamond where the first letter of each gemstone is used to spell out the word Regard.

Antique Regard rings from the Victorian era are becoming so hard to come by, and this is such a wonderful example of an antique Regard ring with the most beautiful setting for the gemstones and a spectacular twist design on the band.

At each end is a very sweet and delightful flower petal design set on top of green gold that is used for the leaves.

Green gold was mostly used towards the late 19th Century for a brief period and is wonderful to see the lovely soft green used so well to replicate the leaf design.

Antique Regard rings are one of the most sought after antique rings that we are so often asked about, and this antique Regard ring is just spectacular with its setting, band and of course meaning and will always be a conversation starter.
