Here is one of the finest and most elegant antique carriage clocks around that is made even more spectacular by being not only a repeater carriage clock, but also has a triple date calendar and all this housed in such an elegant and regal case.
Carriage clocks were very popular towards the end of the 19th Century thanks in part to their ability to be so portable and still remain highly accurate timekeepers.
Not only does this have a repeater function which will strike the time so melodiously on the hour and half hour, but by pressing the button at the top at any time, will also sound out the time.
And then the pièce de résistance of this already magnificent carriage clock is the ability to set and read the day, date and month which in itself is just so incredible to admire from the front.
However typical of a fine carriage clock of this quality the sides have been left open and only covered by its original beveled edge glass which also continues on the top to see the escapement as it ticks by so marvelously.
The case measures 11cm wide by 9.6cm deep by 15.1cm or 19.7cm with its carry handle upright and would sit so well on any mantle shelf or desk.
With an eight day movement that has been fully restored and serviced and comes with our twelve month warranty, this is such an incredible and rare antique carriage clock of spectacular quality and finesse.
