Antique rings are often so unique and beautiful, and this is exemplified in this antique rose gold mine cut diamond engagement ring that dates from the early 1900's.
More often than not, diamonds are set into yellow gold and not rose gold, and there is nothing quite like the beautiful warm colour and tone that emanates from rose gold.
With the beautiful tone looking so elegant on the finger, the design of how the diamond is set, combined with the incredibly beautiful flower design on each side is just incredible. The time and attention to detail that would have been spent in hand making this ring over a century ago is a real testament to the jewellers of the period.
Sitting proudly in the centre is a lovely genuine antique mine cut diamond that measures 0.32 carats. The sparkle from the diamond is enhanced by the setting and the fact that it is a genuine antique cut diamond. Antique mine cut diamonds as well as early European cut diamonds have both become so popular for engagement rings in recent years.
With the rose gold band measuring 4.2mm wide, this ring will sit so well on the finger and is destined to always be loved and admired for its unique beauty and elegance.

Cut entirely by hand, both the mine cut diamond and the European cut diamond have fifty eight facets like the round modern brilliant cut diamond. The difference between them all is the angles. Often the mine cut diamonds are called cushion cut diamonds as they somewhat resemble a cushion shape. First seen in the start of the 1700’s, these remained right up until the advent of the European cut diamond around the 1850's. In recent years, mine cut diamonds have increased in popularity. And as always, there is nothing quite like a genuine antique diamond engagement ring to adorn your finger.
