Here is such an elegant antique rose gold opal and green garnet locket from the Edwardian era of the early 1900's that looks so elegant thanks to its simple design and elegance of the cluster of opals and a garnet in the centre.
Garnets are more commonly found in a deep burgundy red colour, however they also come in a range of colours such as the wonderful deep mint green seen here in this tsavorite garnet.
Surrounded by six solid white opals that are so well matched in colour, both the opals and garnet sit in the centre and really stand out so well set against the gorgeous 9ct rose gold. The colour from the rose gold has such a wonderful warm tone to it that look amazing on the skin and has that proper rose colour as opposed to so much of the pink/coppery colour seen in modern rose gold design.
Measuring 24mm in diameter on the outside, inside the locket allows two photos to be put inside, and once this is done it makes this locket become so much more personal.
With such a timeless design, this antique photo locket will always be loved and cherished.
