Antique ruby and diamond hinged bangle made in the early 1900's

Perfect for day or night, this antique ruby and diamond hinged bangle made in the early 1900's looks wonderful and is destined to always be admired.

Made in 9ct rose gold, the bangle is set with three natural rubies that totals 0.38 carats and are set in a wonderful star pattern often called a gypsy setting. This technique is often seen in jewellery of the late Victorian as well as the Edwardian era and highlights the gemstones so well.

Set on each side of the centre ruby in this same setting technique, is a rose cut diamond that is one of the earliest forms of diamond cuts. These diamonds total 0.02 carats and add the right amount of sparkle to the bangle to highlight the design and the rubies perfectly.

With an internal diameter if 5.6cm across, this will sit so well on the wrist and is fitted with a safety chain for added security.

Antique bangles such as this are just perfect for any occasion and will always be loved and admired.

Description
Antique ruby and diamond hinged bangle made in the early 1900's

Antique bangles of the late 1800's to the early 1900's have a design that makes them so easy and practical to wear during the day or night. Being hinged allows an antique bangle such as this to sit nice and close to the wrist making it very practical and comfortable to wear all the time, day or night. Set with antique rose cut diamonds, the rose cut diamond was one of the earliest cutting forms of diamonds that goes as far back as the end of the 1400's, and has been seen in jewellery all the way up to 1920's Art Deco jewellery.
