The colour from these natural rubies, the sparkle from the diamonds and the incredible hand carded sides in this antique ruby and diamond ring all come together to create a magnificent ring that will always be loved and admired.
Hand made in the late Victorian era of the 1890's, this ring is set with three vibrant natural Burmese rubies, and separated by two diamonds on each side of the centre ruby. The centre ruby measures 1 carat and the two side rubies total 0.70 carats and the colour and transparency of these rubies shows why Burmese rubies have long been regarded as the finest in the world. So many rubies today are quite cloudy inside or have been glass or lead filled which is an incredibly unstable treatment, so finding rubies of this quality is always lovely to see and admire.
The four diamonds total 0.16 carats and add the right amount of sparkle and elegance to the ring, and from left to right the ring measures 18mm by 6.4mm wide at the centre.
And when you look at the side of the ring you will be astounded at the fine scroll work on the side that shows just how well this ring was made over 120 years ago.
This antique ruby and diamond ring will suit a multitude of occasions from a ruby anniversary to an engagement and everything in between and no matter the occasion, is destined to always be loved and admired.
