Star set antique ruby and diamond ring

Star setting of gemstones is when the beads that are used to securely hold the stones in place are made by the gold being carved towards the stone then lifted up and over to create a bead as well as the charming star design around it, and here is has been done so beautifully in this ring that is over 130 years old, yet still has such a modern and contemporary look to it.

Made in 15 carat gold in the Victorian period of the 1890’s, in the centre sits a beautiful natural ruby that measures 0.40 carats and has such a fine red colour to it that is complimented perfectly by the mine cut diamond set on each side.

These diamonds total 0.28 carats and sparkle so magically completing the look of the ring, and with a beautiful smooth high polish to the ring, this ring can so easily be worn with other antique ring just as much as modern rings and always fit right in.

Perfect for any finger and occasion, this is such a beautiful and charming ring.
