This beautiful antique ruby and diamond ring was hand made made in Birmingham in 1891 in 18 carat yellow gold in such a beautiful and elegant design that looks so elegant on the hand and is set with the most beautiful coloured natural rubies that are highlighted by genuine antique cut diamonds.
Dating from the late Victorian era, the ring is set with five rubies that are all beautifully matched in colour having a strong red colour combined with excellent transparency allowing you to see right through each ruby. The rubies total 0.78 carats in weight and have such a vibrant colour that is further emphasized by being surrounded by diamonds.
The 18 diamonds surrounding the rubies are the lovely antique European cut diamonds and these come together to total 0.45 carats and ass the right amount of sparkle and pizazz to an already very beautiful ring.
With the top of the ring measuring 7.5mm by 15.6mm across and the side of the ring displaying very elegant hand carved shoulders, this ring sits so well on any finger and would also make a wonderful and unique engagement ring.
