Here is a very elegant antique ruby and diamond ring that was hand made in 18 carat yellow gold in a style and design that has never gone out of fashion or style.
Suitable for any finger, it would also make a perfect engagement ring and is set with three lovely natural rubies that come together to total 0.52 carats. The colour of these rubies are so beautiful, and set on each side of the centre ruby is a European cut diamond with the two diamonds having a total weight of 0.16 carats.
From left to right the ring measures 15.5mm across by 6.2mm wide at the centre, making it the perfect proportion to sit perfectly on the finger where it will no doubt always be admired.
As beautiful today as when it was made, this ring is one that will always be loved and cherished.

Antique ruby and diamond ring made in the 1890's
This ring would make a perfect antique ruby and diamond engagement ring or the perfect ruby anniversary present. Made in the late Victorian period of the 1890's, it is claw set with three natural rubies and two European cut diamonds. The European cut diamond has the same number of facets as today's round brilliant cut diamonds, but with slightly steeper angles. Becoming increasingly popular for engagement rings, the European cut diamond as well as the earlier mine cut diamond as well as the rose cut diamond, these are all now both being cut in modern diamond cutting houses in Antwerp and India.
