It is incredible to think that this antique bangle is well over 120 years old, yet still looks so good today and is in fantastic condition.
Made in Birmingham in 1888, this lovely Victorian era bangle is made in 15ct gold which was a carat of gold used up until 1932.
Â
The bangle is set with 2 rubies and 13 pearls, however it wasn't simply a matter of just setting the pearls in, as if you look closely they graduate in size so elegantly.
The graduation in size of pearls from smaller to larger and back again is what makes and defines the quality of so many antique pieces such as this one.
With the rubies set at each end to add even more charm and character this really is such an elegant antique bangle that is perfect to wear day or night.
At each end are barbell type bars and from one to the other it measures 36.4mm and each bar measures 9mm wide or 5.7mm without where the pearls are set.
Being hinged allows this bangle to sit nice and close to the wrist and is also fitted with a safety chain for added piece of mind.
No matter when this is worn, this antique ruby and pearl bangle will always be admired.
