When these were first made, the Albertina or leontine as it is also known as, was made to hold a ladies pocket watch on one end and attached to an outfit via the tee bar, however today these are more commonly worn as a bracelet and here is a very beautiful antique sterling silver Albertina with a fancy tee bar as well as other additions that makes this so elegant and feminine.
From end to end it measures 25cm, however as a bracelet it measures 20cm and will have that gorgeous tee bar and heart and round piece hanging beautifully below the wrist. These additions give it such a feminine look, and with so many charm bracelet companies on the market today, there is nothing more special that a piece which is totally unique rather than mass produced.
With the two rows of twist chain connecting to an additional heart section in the middle, this can also be connected to a chain and worn around the neck as another way to show this lovely piece off.
Made in the 1890's, this is still in wonderful condition and can easily be worn everyday.
