No matter which side you look at, this antique sterling silver and gold locket made in 1884 is just so beautiful and feminine and will certainly stand out when worn around the neck.
Made in sterling silver with a gorgeous floral design on both sides, the front has the flower highlighted with rose gold and the much rarer green gold. Rose gold has that lovely warm colour to it and the green gold has a charming soft green hue to it which was used perfectly on this locket to highlight the leaves.
Measuring 34.5mm across by 44mm high or 59.1mm to the top of the bail, this locket is able to hold two photos inside to make this not only look so attractive around the neck, but also so personal as well.
This is such a beautiful example of an antique locket, and hallmarked for being made in Birmingham in 1884 is a real testament to the jewellers to create a lovely piece of jewellery that has lasted well over 130 years and is still in wonderful condition.
