there is nothing quite like the feel and heft of a genuine pocket watch in the palm of your hand, and here is a lovely antique sterling silver pocket watch retailed by Angus & Coote.
Angus & Coote was founded in Sydney in 1895 and is still around today throughout Australia so not only is it nice to own a lovely gents pocket watch in fantastic condition, but one with Australian history behind it.
Made in 1922, the solid sterling silver case measures 52.5mm across by 71mm to the top of the bow and features the traditional engine turned style case. The engraving on the case is still so nice and sharp showing that this wasn't used excessively and still feels wonderful to the touch.
With the lovely heft coming from the solid sterling silver case and the movement inside, in recent years we have found genuine antique pocket watches more and more popular, especially when in good condition. The front cover opens easily and stops at 90 degrees to the dial again showing how little wear this pocket watch has had, as often they are found with the front cover opening too far back.
The white enamel dial is all original and in great condition and displays the traditional black Roman numerals with the sub-seconds at the bottom.
So easy to read, it is also very easy to wind and set which is all done via the crown at the top.
Inside is a gorgeous Swiss movement that has recently just come back from a full service, runs perfect and comes with our twelve month warranty.
If you or someone you know have been after a lovely gents pocket watch, then this might just be the one.
