There is something so special about holding a genuine antique pocket watch in your hand and the way it feels.
From the solid heft of the pocket watch, to seeing the amazing movement inside and knowing that it is all over 100 years ago all go to making it so much more special than the modern pocket watches coming on the market today with silver plated cases and quartz movements.
And here we have a truly stunning antique Waltham pocket watch that was made over 125 years ago and still runs perfect.
Made in 1887, this Waltham pocket watch has so much going for it. The case is made from sterling silver and is a full hunter case meaning that it has the protective cover on the front and being made from solid sterling silver has a fantastic heft to it and the size of this pocket watch looks and feels so good in the palm of your hand as it measures 50mm across.
Making this antique Waltham pocket watch even more special is that it has a chronograph stopwatch on it which is started and stopped by pressing the square button between 4 and 5 o'clock.
This is also a crown wind lever set pocket watch which means that to wind the clock you simply turn the crown and setting is very easy as well by pulling out the small lever near the 4 o'clock and then turn the crown to the time.
The white enamel dial is all original and still in fantastic condition and has the outer markers for the chronograph in 25 beats per 5 second intervals.
To get a chronograph pocket watch made after 1900 to hold and admire is great, but when you consider that this was made over 125 years ago is fantastic and when you see the quality of the movement it is truly astonishing.
The fully jewelled movement is amazing to admire and has just been completely serviced, runs great and comes with our 1 year warranty.
From all angles this antique Waltham chronograph pocket watch is amazing and one that would make either a perfect gift for someone or to add to a collection of genuine antique pocket watches.
