Antique turquoise and diamond brooch in the form of a snake

Here is an incredibly beautiful antique turquoise and diamond brooch in the form of a snake that dates from the 1870's and will look absolutely incredible on any outfit.
Queen Victoria herself popularised the snake form/motif by receiving a wedding ring from Prince Albert of a snake with an emerald set head, and as she was so influential with fashion, it is no wonder that the snake from found its way into many other forms of jewellery.
Here it is set with an incredible natural piece of turquoise that is completely untreated or enhanced. So much turquoise over the years and especially now is either dyed or reconstituted so it is wonderful to get a piece of natural turquoise that looks as good as this.
And then surrounding the turquoise in 15ct gold is the snake form set with fourteen diamonds in its body and two more diamonds as its eyes. These diamonds really accentuate the brooch so well and the setting measures 24.5mm by 21.2mm and is the perfect size to wear all the time.
This is such a unique and special antique turquoise and diamond brooch that will always be appreciated and loved.
